Buddha Park

The Buddha Park, or rather the Buddha Park is a fraught with Buddhist sculpture park located on the outskirts of the city of Vientiane (Laos). The Buddha Park, formally Xieng Khuan, boasts more than 200 statues.

The Buddha Park is a park located 25 km on the outskirts of the city of Vientiane, which gets its name from the more than 200 statues Hindus and Buddhists sprinkled on it. This park in the tourist guides appears with the name of Buddha Park and also Xieng Khuan, however local cartels makes Xiengkuane and also Wat Xieng Khouang.

The Buddha Park is full of bizarre sculptures and constructions, all of them made in reinforced concrete. Some of these sculptures were built thanks to the donation of a benefactor, whose name was engraved on a plaque at the base of the work. Buddha Park not only there are sculptures of Buddha, but there are also anthropomorphic sculptures, animals, gods and demons.

All the horrific structures and constructions of the Buddha Park, what is most striking is a pumpkin-shaped structure and a reclining Buddha style Wat Pho Bangkok.
