08:30am: Our tour guide & driver will pick you up from hotel’s lobby for a full day tour by begin your first stop at The Independence Monument; designed by the Cambodian architect, Vann Molyvann, he was the foremost of a generation of architects who contributed to the unique style of architecture that emerged during 1950s-1960s and that has been coined New Khmer Architecture. With 37 meters tall in a form of lotus-shaped stupa was built in 1958 to memorialise Cambodia's independence from France in 1953.

Your next stop at Toul Sleng Genocide Museum or also known as prison number “S-21”. From 1975-1979, Formerly a school building, S-21 the site served as an interrogation and extermination center, operated by the regime of “Democratic Kampuchea”, commonly known as the “Khmer Rouge regime. Prisoners were systematically tortured and murdered on site or on the killing field of Cheung Ek.

Then head out at South-West from the center about 15km to Choeung Ek or the best-known as the Killing Fields, it was a place where more than 17,000 civilians were killed and buried in mass graves; many of them transported here after detention and torture in Toul Sleng. This place is a chilling reminder of the brutalities of the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime. In the center of the area is a 17-story glass stupa which houses 8000 skulls exhumed from mass graves.

We will come back to the city for lunch then visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. After finished of seeing a beautiful Royal Garden in palace, we’ll move to Wat Phnom “Mountain Pagoda” a pagoda on the only hill in town. According to legend, the first pagoda on this site was erected in 1372 to house four statues of Buddha deposited here by the waters of the Mekong River and discovered by Lady Penh. Hence the city name Phnom Penh or 'hill of Penh'.

It is time for you to go around the Central Market (Phsar Thmei), a large market constructed in 1937 in the shape of a dome with four arms branching out into vast hallways with countless stalls of goods. The four wings of this gigantic yellow dome are teeming with stalls that sell goods ranging from gold and silver, antique coins, money exchange, books, flowers, food, fabrics, shoes, souvenirs, seafood and countless other products. If time permitted, walk along 4 face rivers to take fresh air or take optional sunset cruise to view wonder sunset seeing Phnom Penh at evening.

Option 1: Tonle Sap Lake Half Day Tour(L)

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel then move to Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. It takes around 30 minutes to arrive at the port then we will embark on a small sampan boat and start cruising on the Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s biggest natural water body, one of the largest fresh-water in South Asia and its home to one of the World’s most diverse ecosystems. The experience on boat is wonderful as you’ll pass by floating village, shops, schools, restaurants, Post office, mostly seeing friendly children in their small boats going to or returning from school or fishermen who are catching fishes on the river by traditional ways. You also have chance to see romantic sunrise or sunset if you come early in morning or late afternoon.

It takes about an hour and half for boat trip then we’ll return to the city and continue to visit "Les Artisans D`Angkor - Chantiers Ecoles", this workshop hires young artisans, creative teams to create, produce and design a unique collection of ornamental sculpture, lacquer, silk weaving and silk painting. The company promotes fair and sustainable development in order to provide benefits to rural communities.

12:00: Have lunch at the local restaurant then we will drop you off at the hotel.

Option 2: Sunset of Floating Village included buffet dinner or fixed menu with drinks(D) - group tour

At 3:00pm you’ll pick up by our knowledgeable tour guide & driver for sunset tour of floating village on the Great Tonle Lake with The Queen Tara Boat at Chhong Khneas Village. You’ll have an opportunity to stop and take some photos of the lotus flowers (seasonal) which are a deeply important flower in Buddhism. Upon arrival at the port, you will exit the vehicle and board one of mini traditional long tail boat driven by an experienced and safe local driver (life jackets are available).

The boat ride through the floating village will allow you to see ordinary Cambodians going about their daily life. Fishermen, boat-makers, markets, schools, spirit houses and waving children are always in plentiful supply on this mesmerizing scenic route. Our boat also stops at the floating Crocodile & Fish Farm to learn about some of the trades people on the life work in. If catfish and crocodiles don’t interest you, there is a souvenir shop and a viewing deck on board for you to purchase some presents for loved ones or take a few photos. Later on, your boat will dock with the Queen Tara Riverboat, the biggest boat on the Tonle Sap Lake with unrivaled views of the floating villages, flooded forests and of course the best place to watch the sunset. There you will enjoy a well-deserved buffet meal (or fixed menu) and all you can drink including Cocktails, beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks for free. Afterwards you can lie back in a hammock, take a seat on the viewing deck or get your photo taken at the steering wheel. Watch as other tour groups drive past on their rickety little boats whilst you chill out, relax, and enjoy the comfort & luxury of the biggest boat on the lake. And if the weather is good, you will get a first-class view of a spectacular sunset, the likes of which you will never forget. At about 6:45pm you’ll leave the Queen Tara and head back to the port where your air-conditioned vehicle will be waiting to transport you directly to your hotel.
