"Tour starts from 11.30- 14.30/ or 18.00- 21.00" At 11.30 or 18.00 We will pick up from your hotel located in Hanoi Old Quarter, then start walking around Hanoi old quarter "36 streets" to visit some famous and specialized- food families or stalls/ local restaurants, shops where they run their business everyday, certainly you will watch and taste some particular dishes, we can customize vegetarian or special food too. Special thing is our guide will introduce you some popular authentic food in lovely local restaurants (not luxury restaurants) where you feel comfortable to sit down and enjoy some favorite dishes and nice drinks too. It's interesting to hear from tour guide about the history of the old quarter in Hanoi, it is thousand years old and today retains much of the old flavor that made the area special in earlier times, each street was the exclusive domain of one trade (guilds) so there are whole streets of blacksmiths, silver shops, paper shops, headstone makers and more. Originally there were just 36 streets in the old quarter but today there are more than 50 streets. It is very difficult to find some local food stalls and special restaurants on your own in hidden alleys and sidewalks, certainly the best way to make it easy is joining with Swallow Travel, taking part in this special tour to learn about Vietnamese cuisine, culture, people and language. Food on Foot Tour will give you an unique experience to try our special local food and drinks, we ensure the food is handled hygienically and provide a comfortable venue for the tasting. Option 1: Tonle Sap Lake Half Day Tour(L)

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel then move to Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. It takes around 30 minutes to arrive at the port then we will embark on a small sampan boat and start cruising on the Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s biggest natural water body, one of the largest fresh-water in South Asia and its home to one of the World’s most diverse ecosystems. The experience on boat is wonderful as you’ll pass by floating village, shops, schools, restaurants, Post office, mostly seeing friendly children in their small boats going to or returning from school or fishermen who are catching fishes on the river by traditional ways. You also have chance to see romantic sunrise or sunset if you come early in morning or late afternoon.

It takes about an hour and half for boat trip then we’ll return to the city and continue to visit "Les Artisans D`Angkor - Chantiers Ecoles", this workshop hires young artisans, creative teams to create, produce and design a unique collection of ornamental sculpture, lacquer, silk weaving and silk painting. The company promotes fair and sustainable development in order to provide benefits to rural communities.

12:00: Have lunch at the local restaurant then we will drop you off at the hotel.

Option 2: Sunset of Floating Village included buffet dinner or fixed menu with drinks(D)

At 3:00pm you’ll pick up by our knowledgeable tour guide & driver for sunset tour of floating village on the Great Tonle Lake with The Queen Tara Boat at Chhong Khneas Village. You’ll have an opportunity to stop and take some photos of the lotus flowers (seasonal) which are a deeply important flower in Buddhism. Upon arrival at the port, you will exit the vehicle and board one of mini traditional long tail boat driven by an experienced and safe local driver (life jackets are available).

The boat ride through the floating village will allow you to see ordinary Cambodians going about their daily life. Fishermen, boat-makers, markets, schools, spirit houses and waving children are always in plentiful supply on this mesmerizing scenic route. Our boat also stops at the floating Crocodile & Fish Farm to learn about some of the trades people on the life work in. If catfish and crocodiles don’t interest you, there is a souvenir shop and a viewing deck on board for you to purchase some presents for loved ones or take a few photos. Later on, your boat will dock with the Queen Tara Riverboat, the biggest boat on the Tonle Sap Lake with unrivaled views of the floating villages, flooded forests and of course the best place to watch the sunset. There you will enjoy a well-deserved buffet meal (or fixed menu) and all you can drink including Cocktails, beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks for free. Afterwards you can lie back in a hammock, take a seat on the viewing deck or get your photo taken at the steering wheel. Watch as other tour groups drive past on their rickety little boats whilst you chill out, relax, and enjoy the comfort & luxury of the biggest boat on the lake. And if the weather is good, you will get a first-class view of a spectacular sunset, the likes of which you will never forget. At about 6:45pm you’ll leave the Queen Tara and head back to the port where your air-conditioned vehicle will be waiting to transport you directly to your hotel.
